President’s Message

The Public Health Association of Nebraska has spent a great deal of time and energy over the past couple of years to rebuild our infrastructure during a time of great change. This transition came at a time where public health rose to the forefront in light of COVID-19. Public Health has never been more relevant and visible than it is right now. Public Health professionals, together with healthcare and essential workers have worked tirelessly to protect our communities while keeping the gears of society running. As a reenergized association, PHAN intends to support these efforts and help navigate a post-COVID recovery. We hope you will join us!

Vision: Driving Nebraska’s public health forward.

Mission: To unite and amplify the voice of public health to promote healthier communities in Nebraska. 

Our updated Vision and Mission serves as to guide our efforts as a convener and collaborator of public health initiatives and advocacy throughout the State of Nebraska. we are laying the groundwork to expand our membership to new areas representing ALL partners - traditional and non-traditional - whose work influences public health in Nebraska. In a similar vein, we are working on plans to expand student membership in PHAN to include and engage developing professionals interested in the many facets of public health.

We have several opportunities to engage membership and provide a meaningful platform to network, collaborate, advocate and address current public health challenges. We hope you will join us to be part of this growing, evolving organization!
