Nebraska Health Policy Short Course

The Nebraska Health Policy Short Course is a two-day in-person training designed to introduce public health, population health, and health care professionals to the policy design and implementation process. Through interactive exercises, expert panels and personal assessments, participants will:

  • Describe the components of the policy making process
  • Identify tools used to choose the most effective policy solutions
  • Explore individual and collaborative efforts for influencing the policy making process
  • Discuss best practices for creating sound health policy

The training is a joint effort of the Center for Health Policy and the Office of Public Health Practice with the UNMC College of Public Health. This project is supported in part by Region 6 Behavioral Healthcare through the Substance Abuse Block Grant of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services.
